How come animated films are able to star more a-list actors?
Q. Random observation... mostly disney/pixar movies that I'm referring to but the only film(s) that can cast as many A-list actors are the Oceans series. Is it easier work? More pay?? I wouldn't think so since many movies spend most of the budget hiring ONE a-list celeb.

A. Because it's less effort than a live action film. It's basically sitting in a little recording studio just talking for a few hours a day. Most of the work really goes in to the animators, who never get nearly as much credit as they deserve. And then, in most cases, these animated films offer the actors more money, since they're not spending as much on expensive sets and props. Those they can just animate in! Plus, the stars can pretty much show up in sweats and their "morning faces" lol because they're not actually doing any live action filming. How much do non A or B list actors make?

Q. The same way a musician practices his scales over and over again, or a dancer practices the same stretches and routines, and fighters practice the same moves... A. acting is kind of different from music and fighting. you can't really "practice" the same way, in my opinion. during a warm-up for acting you should make sure you are concentrating on both the body and the voice, incorporating an emotional connection with each. stretch the same way you would before a dance class or PE class. just whatever basic stretches you want to do, to get all the tension out of your body. stretch all leg and arm muscles, do yoga poses if you choose, do a spinal roll. an actor's warm up is different for each person because it is whatever YOU feel you need. do deep breathing in preparation for vocal. massage or move the jaw to release tension. hum in scales up and down. do tongue twisters, focusing on… [cont.]

Why are so few of the A-list actors gay?
Q. All the A-list actors are married and straight. What gives? You think they all would be gay. Drama high school guys are usually gay, why not them?

A. I suspect many are gay. Unfortunately to make the A-list they have to stay in the closet and pretend to be straight, so they can serve as heartthrobs for straight women. A lot of gay men are or were married, so marital staus often is not an indication of sexual preference. And Rock Hudson was a major A-list actor in his day.
