A. Johnny Depp studied acting at The Loft in LA while he was still a musician, a top acting school. Michelle Pfeiffer only did 2 bit parts before going to acting school, and only after that did she start getting major roles Very few top actors have never taken any sort of acting class.

How do actors bring themselves to cry?
Q. Are there any A-list actors that cannot bring themselves to tear up? Are most actors emotionally charged so find it easy to tear up. I for one have heard the secret to believeably cry is to think of something really sad you've experienced... and it'll make you cry. I am unable to tear up in acting, what methods help?

Is it all just luck that you be a famous A-list actor or is there a hardcore strategy to guarantee that?
Q. I'm very scared that if didn't follow my parents' word on being a doctor that I will regret my life later on. I am not afraid of very hard work that needs perseverance. What I'm afraid of is the thought that even if how hard I work to become a successful actor, that it may be I just don't have luck for this endeavor. What would you advise me to do?

A large amount of actors got there this way. Another thing to do is to hire an agent and do some local productions and commercials. Both are not sure fire, but much better than nothing. And another thing, don't audition for big movies and so on at the start; start slow and work your way up.

I checked his IMDB and it turns out that he hasn't done anything since MITM... So, that makes him Z (as in Zero) List. I'm not trying to be mean.
